We have a lovely little blueberry bush.
It was here when we moved in so I can't take credit for it. But this year we had a super-duty sump pump put into the basement and the water drains out right near the blueberry bush, so we're getting a big yield.
The only trouble is da, da, dummmmm...JAPANESE BEETLES. Most years they are satisfied with devouring my rose bush. This year they have acquired a taste for blueberries. So I go out daily to harvest what they haven't beaten me to. And I flick them. Oh the joy of flicking Japanese Beetles!!!
This was my crop yesterday. Hello, top of my cereal.
